Week Two Day One

BREAKFAST:
1 Carbmaster yogurt
handful of Ann's house trail mix. ( nuts & cranberries)

DINNER:
3oz Round Steak
4 Homemade Fries ( 6 fries equal one potato but I rounded up for calorie purposes.)
1.5 cup Salad w/ added reduced calorie shredded cheddar cheese
1 TBS ranch ( we will be buying some healthier dressing in the near future...had to use up the rest of what we had!)
TOTAL: 340

SNACK:
1 bag of Baked Doritos
TOTAL: 90


TOTAL: 660
* I guess I didn't feel like eating today. And now I'm going to have a reduced fat cheese stick...because I can...
* I also started a meal plan with my dietitian today so I am now on the diabetic exchange plan. No.. I don't have diabetes, but this plan is very healthy and something she likes people to do until I get my weight under control. I will also be getting a full lab workup on my blood, cholesterol and thyroid to rule out any underlying problems. I will be focusing more on this plan:
2300 calories
* ( as I am still breastfeeding over 2000 is ok)

3 fat free milk
3 non-starchy veggies
3 fruits
11 starches
12 lean meats
5 fats.
I have the exchange book which tells me how much each serving is.
So from now on I will not be putting down the measurements of each item but more of how many servings it is I have for each meal.
I'm hoping this makes sense to my readers. If it doesn't here is a link to better understand what I will be doing starting tomorrow.

* This looks a little more complicated than just counting calories. I will be buying a scale very soon b/c much of the serving size is in ounces. plus its kinda confusing.

DAY 7 ...end of week one...

BREAKFAST:

UDF milkshake (ehhh NOT a good decision)

Trader Joe's flounder stuffed with crab
1 cup Mac and cheese ( way too much, even with MA eating from my bowl!)
1/2 cup Green Giant Healthy Weight veggies

*in conclusion for my first week. There were yes slip ups. BUT it is my first diet AND there were only 2 days I went over 2000. When I'm sure the week before last calories soared over 2000 EVERY day. I plan on working harder to work out next week.


p.s. I LOST FOUR POUNDS!!!

DAY 6

BREAKFAST:
2 scrambled eggs
1 TBS salsa
coffee w/ creamer
2 slices wheat toast
1 TBS PB & Honey

LUNCH:
1/2 slice of pepperoni pizza from PAPA JOHNS (argh to a birthday party)
1 cup pasta salad made with low fat Italian dressing

2 pieces of wheat bread
1 slice of American cheese
1 slice of roast beef
1 slice of turkey
1/2 TBS mayo

*i usually drink water all day long so I will no longer be putting drinks down unless they have calories!
*I'm thinking 3 eggs are just a little too much for me. Yesterday I didn't even eat lunch b/c I was still full and today will probably be the same.

* I have realized that being home all day makes me want to eat all day. Ugh its depressing. Hopefully this weekend will be jammed pack of things to do outside of the house.

DAY FOUR

basically turkey, carrots, tomatoes and lettuce.
on a sun dried tomato tortilla.
and I only ate half.

* anyone notice how my snack was more than my dinner?...awesome

*under even the smallest goal. I guess being at the hospital with G-pa has an effect on my calorie intake.

DAY THREE

BREAKFAST:
2 scrambled eggs
1 Fiber One blueberry muffin
no coffee today!

LUNCH:
Sonic grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo (had to eat on the way back home from C-bus, G really needed a corn dog he said!)

DISCLAIMER:
Today I saw my grandfather who had been in the hospital since Sunday. With breathing tubes and monitors galore I just couldn't handle myself there. It made it even crazier when he would wake up and saw me and get excited and squeeze my hand.

* I will say Todd and I both felt disgusting soon after consuming this deliciousness. It was good going in but once it settled we both felt like dying. It was like our bodies were scolding us. No more of that stuff.

*now where's that wagon?

DAY 2 a little late

LUNCH:
2 pieces of wheat bread
2 slices of turkey breast
1 slice of roast beef
1 slice or American cheese (good lord I need to find another cheese..this is over 100 calories!)
1 TBS mayo (I know I shouldn't but it rocked this sandwich)

*I walked for 45 mins around 8PM with G & MA in her stroller. It was fast enough for my heart rate to elevate and turned into a run the last block. G was not happy about that. When we got home everyone needed a snack.

Wow

365 minus 13 days. That is how long it has been since I have written anything. So much has gone on, there is not point in typing it all b/c that is not why I am here. Today marks the first day of the rest of my new lifestyle. Todd and I have started to follow Sparkpeople. I'm excited and nervous for this big change. I always thought I would eventually lose this baby weight (well that's what I'M chalking it up to be) but never thought I had to do anything. I dont really have the time to hash out the reasons we want to do this. If you know us I'm sure u have seen our crazy kids and our life. We want to be more than just standing on the sidelines for them. We want to be in the game.

DAY ONE
Breakfast
Quick Oats 2 cups
2 TBS milk (to make it not so paste like)
2 TBS sugar (to make it not TASTE so paste like.)
one sliced banana

*disclaimer: I will be sharing this meal with a 1 yr old and 4 yr old so I dont think 2 cups will be to actual amount I will eat but I am putting this in here so I can overestimate. Its always better to be OVER when it comes to assuming food consumption. Eventually you will eat those extra calories. Im not gonna kid myself. I will eventually need some caffeine. And a Mickey D's small coffee might be calling my name someday. With 1 cream and 4 sugar.

I wont type in my lunch or dinner until I have eaten them, nor will I type in my exercise until I do it. I'm not going to get ahead of myself.
